UFC Fight Night 120 draws 870,000 viewers on FS1; Prelims on FS2 draw 254,000

May 22, 2018 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC Fight Night 129 drew 870,000 viewers on Saturday night on FS1 according to Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  The prelims which aired on FS2 drew 254,000 viewers.

The event, which featured Demian Maia taking on Kamaru Usman.  Usman pulled out the 5-round victory over Maia as he was able to neutralize Maia’s ground game.  The main card drew a 0.31 in the A18-49 demo.

The prelims drew 254,000 viewers and a 0.07 in the A18-49 demo.

The post-fight on FS1 drew 256,000 viewers and 0.11 in the A18-49 demo.

Payout Perspective:

The event did well considering there was no compelling name on this card and was opposite Showtime Boxing and the NBA Playoffs featuring Cleveland and Boston.  The game was a blowout in favor of the Cavs so that may have helped.  The prelims were shuffled due to scheduling conflicts which did not help its viewership.  Overall, 870,000 is a good number for this event since it was another International card with a lot of fighters that are unknown to many in the US.
