TUF 22 Episode 12 draws 595K viewers

December 10, 2015

The last episode of TUF 22 drew 595,000 viewers on FS1 Wednesday night in its first showing on the network.  It is the second highest rating for the season.

The rating reflects the third consecutive week in which it has gained viewership.  The season-ending episode is also the best rating in three seasons for the TUF series.

The episode featured the fights to get onto the card tomorrow.  Of course, due to visa issues, the fight for Friday’s final will be Ryan Hall taking on Artem Lobov.  The episode also featured a cameo by Jose Aldo which is fortuitous since he will be fighting Conor McGregor Saturday.

Payout Perspective:

The average rating for the season was 522,00 viewers which was the best for the past 3 seasons.  TUF 18, Rousey-Tate averaged 684,000 viewers.  The good news is that the highest ratings were the first and last episode.  Thus, it shows at least a modicum of stability with the season as you might deduce that people stayed with the season rather than tail off as you might conclude in past seasons.  While it’s not the ratings we saw during the Rashad-Rampage season on Spike, it was a very good season.
