Silva, Diaz top UFC 183 salaries

February 2, 2015 by Jason Cruz 15 Comments

MMA Junkie reports the salaries from this past Saturday’s UFC 183. As expected, Anderson Silva and Nick Diaz topped the list.

Via MMA Junkie:

Anderson Silva: $800,000 (includes $200,000 win bonus)
def. Nick Diaz: $500,000

Tyron Woodley: $139,000 (includes $65,000 win bonus)
def. Kelvin Gastelum: $21,000

Al Iaquinta: $36,000 (includes $18,000 win bonus)
def. Joe Lauzon: $36,000

Thales Leites: $48,000 (includes $24,000 win bonus)
def. Tim Boetsch: $52,000

Thiago Alves: $84,000 (includes $42,000 win bonus)
def. Jordan Mein: $22,000

Miesha Tate: $76,000 (includes $38,000 win bonus)
def. Sara McMann: $25,000

Derek Brunson: $50,000 (includes $25,000 win bonus)
def. Ed Herman: $47,000

John Lineker: $35,700 (includes $21,000 win bonus)
def. Ian McCall: $22,300

Rafael Natal: $58,000 (includes $29,000 win bonus)
def. Tom Watson: $16,000

Ildemar Alcantara: $32,000 (includes $16,000 win bonus)
def. Richardson Moreira: $8,000

Thiago “Marreta” Santos: $26,000 (includes $13,000 win bonus)
def. Andy Enz: $8,000

Notably, Kevin Gastelum and John Lineker drew fines of 30% of their purses for not missing weight and they were given to their respective opponents.

Payout Perspective:

It was a big payday for Silva who takes home $800,000 for his victory over Nick Diaz. The Spider had a base of $600,000 and a $200,000 win bonus. One might assume he’s on this pay schedule as he also made $600,000 in his losses at UFC 162 and UFC 168. Diaz earned the most he has made in the UFC with a payday of $500,000. Tyron Woodley benefitted from Gastelum’s failure to make weight and earned an extra $9,000 and totaled $139,000. Woodley is already making $65,000 and $65,000.  It was a big night for Thiago Alves as he earned $84,000 plus his $50,000 win bonus earning $134,000 for his work Saturday.  Thales Leites also drew six figures as he scored a double bonus plus his $48,000 salary making $148,000 overall.  Miesha Tate made $76,000 ($38,000 and $38,0000) with her win over Sara McMann.

Pink Pig, I don’t know how many times we have to go over this – these are disclosed salaries and do not count PPV share and other locker-room bonuses and sponsorship payments. It is very likely that both Silva and Diaz made over $1M. I still think they are underpaid, but your implication that this is all they made is incorrect. As usual.

“a big payday for Silva” lol 800k for the most famous mma fighter on earth. Nonito Donaire made 1.3 million once and he’s a fly weight.

Ha the UFC is the only sport in the fucking world that keeps extra money secret lol. Tells me that there is virtually very little extra money or they would be promoting how much fighters make and even lie about it . The UFC has no leg to stand on with fighters pay, has less then a handful of fighters that actually make a decent amount, and are in no way going to change a thing. You fuck tards love to point at some make believe number that doesn’t exist. and say see see, makes me fucking laugh. Ok with your dumb ass reasoning BOXERS MAKE EVEN MORE THAN WHAT IS POSTED TOO. Only an idiot would compare what headline boxers make and what mma fighters make, every fighter knows that boxing pays and mma doesn’t. And you guys will point to one or 2 mma fighters that make decent money when there are hundreds of boxers that do! Wait till information comes out in the lawsuit, It will spin your dicks!

Rios never made anything anywhere near 4 million before or after that fight, not to mention someone in promotion lost money, because that fight bombed ppv wise.

No one made only a few k on Mayweathers last card.
Why do you make things up D?
You say that every time someone talks about this but its simply not true.

And these backroom payouts are a joke.

D, even on the biggest MMA forum, Sherdog, people laugh at the “backroom” payouts.
No one takes that seriously except for ppl like you, who have to defend everything that you can.

By the way Brandon Rios made $4mil to fight Pacquiao, you faggot fuck.

He fought Mike Alvarado for the 3rd time and made $850,000.Alvarado made $785,000.

    More than Silva vs Diaz.

    WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO
