Cat to make $100K/$100K, Rousey $65K/$65K at UFC 184

February 27, 2015 by Jason Cruz 19 Comments

Lance Pugmire of the LA Times tweeted that Ronda Rousey will be making less of a guaranteed purse than Cat Zingano at UFC 184. However, with her PPV cut and deals with official UFC sponsors, Rousey will clear $1 million on Saturday.

According to tweets from Pugmire, Rousey will make $65K to show and $65K to win. The challenger will get $100,000 to show plus $100,000 if she wins. There is no information on whether Zingano gets a PPV cut. However, Rousey is said to have a PPV cut which should get her over $1 million.

Told by @ufc official that @RondaRousey pay per view back end cut will allow her to surpass 1 million in earnings for this fight.

As many probably saw at the weigh-ins, this will be the first fight that Rousey will don Reebok. She received an individual deal from the soon-to-be official clothing sponsor of the UFC. In the past, she also has had deals with official UFC sponsors Monster Headphones and MetroPCS.

Payout Perspective:

Zingano will make more than 5x what she made at UFC 178 when she earned $9K and $9K against Amanda Nunes. Thus, last September she was only guaranteed $9,000. Just 5 months later she will be guaranteed more than 10 times that amount. So, no lockstep raises for Cat. Good for her.

It’s interesting to note that Rousey last made $120K to show plus a $50K win bonus over Alexis Davis at UFC 175 this past July. It appears to be a restructure of her pay here so that she will receive more from either sponsors and/or her PPV cut.

No name Chris Algeri made 1.3 million against Pac. LOL Adrian Broner & paulie made 1.2 million each fighting on freakin Showtime.

    Just an educated guess here.

Her show/win dropped but she will likely get $3 per PPV buy with no floor. So with a win ($130k) and $300k PPV buy she would clear $1MM (285k would be ajust about $1MM with the $130k). Whether that was in the deal before Wideman got hurt or if this was done post his injury I would have no idea.

D- can you stop saying Rhonda sells ppv’s. she doesnt sell shit on her own. She did two good shows with weidman (500k whoopty freakin doo). on her own she peaked at 375k and that was with a huge UFC push and because she’s freakin hot and a bunch of horny guys want to see her. Many Boxers can do 400k ppv’s with the right opponent. Amir Khan vs Bradley, Amir Khan vs marquez, Garcia vs Madiana, GGG vs Andre Ward or Cotto, Canelo vs Chavez Jr or Froach

FIghtbusiness…..HAHAHA!! Idiot. Have you ever gotten a stat right in your life??? How retarded are you? The figures are listed on this very website!!! She did NOT peak at 375k, she did a ppv that did 450k buys. That is more than EVERY active boxer not named Mayweather or Pacquaio!!! 2 boxers can outdraw her! HAHAHAHA!!!

Your delusions are growing claiming those fighters can do 400k buys. You have zero evidence to back that up seeing how none of them ever did 400k buys other than Cotto which was years ago and his last ppv was 310k buys.

By the way, Rousey looks like a dude. You may just be into guys.
