Hendricks backs Wounded Warrior Project

March 11, 2013

Johny Hendricks is helping raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project.  The UFC welterweight contender is donating his MMA memorabilia to the cause which will be auctioned off.

“I have always been very appreciative of our armed forces and have followed the Wounded Warrior Project for awhile.  These men and women are the real heroes and I feel they don’t get nearly enough credit,” said Hendricks. “This is just a super small way that I can show my personal appreciation by utilizing the platform that UFC has provided me.”

Payout Perspective:

Its always good to know that athletes give back to good causes.  While Hendricks may be on the cusp of something big if he gets past Carlos Condit this weekend, he recognizes that he can use his notoriety to help out a worthy cause.
