The Nevada State Athletic Commission, via Dan Rafael, released the salaries for the top of the card for Saturday night’s Pacquiao-Bradley fight. Manny Pacquiao will receive a guaranteed $26 million for Saturday while Timothy Bradley will receive $5 million.
Pacquiao also will receive a cut of the PPV upside. Its not reported whether Bradley will receive a cut as well. You may recall that both Mayweather and Cotto received portions of the PPV upside for their May 5th fight.
Also on the card, Jorge Arce will make $300K and his opponent Jesus Rojas will make $25K
If you are interested, Rafael has the rest of the undercard payouts here.
Payout Perspective:
Pacquiao made a reported $22 million guaranteed with an estimated $8 million PPV cut while Juan Manuel Marquez made $5 million plus $5 million for the PPV. While its not reported about Bradley receiving a cut, he could have some PPV money as well. Regardless, the $5 million will be the most he’s made in his career.
It will be interesting to see how this PPV does considering that Pacquiao is the selling point. Whether you like it or not, it will be compared to May 5th’s Mayweather-Cotto fight. My take, like most, is that it does less than Mayweather-Cotto (1.5M). However, I think it will break 1 million PPV buys albeit a generous rounding up. Selling this fight is hard considering Bradley is a relative nobody. While the 24/7 series made him to be a nice, family man that trains hard, he doesn’t have the appeal.

Good luck Pac-Man!

Per Steve Kim, tickets have not sold nearly as well as expected. At the last minute I wouldn’t be surprised if sponsors pick up lots but still eye opening.
