UFC 186 attendance, gate and bonuses

April 26, 2015

MMA Junkie reports the attendance, gate and bonuses from Saturday’s UFC 186 from Montreal.  Demetrious Johnson led the bonus winners with his last second submission over Kyoji Horiguchi.

In addition to Johnson’s submission bonus, Thomas Almeida, Chad Laprise and Bryan Barberena earned $50,000 bonuses.

The event drew 10,154 fans for a gate of $668,000 according to Dana White in the post-fight press conference.  The event took place at the Bell Centre and multiple reports indicate it was a disappointing turnout largely due to the changes made to the card.

Payout Perspective:

According to the MMA Blue Book, it’s by far the least attended card for a PPV event in the venue.

UFC 158 GSP-Diaz, March 2013 – $3.71M, 20,146

UFC 154 GSP-Condit, November 2012 – $3.143M, 17,249

UFC 124 GSP-Koscheck, December 2010 – $4.6M, 23,152

As you can see, the constant was that GSP headlined the show, so there’s that factor regarding attendance.  The card could have used GSP as this event suffered numerous blows including the shifting of the main event, shuffling of fights due to injury and the Rampage Jackson issues.  You can add in the obstacles in trying to garner more fans for Demetrious Johnson and this card was destined to be one of the least-watched PPVs of this year.

The UFC at the bell center is only down 700% since 124 lol. If you look at the available ticket price average for 124, which I will call a sellout, you get $199.00
if you calculate 186 available ticket price average we get $29.00. That is beyond shit!! and they had to pay RJ hahaha funny how the fuck sticks at the UFC claim Poland did better then Montreal say 80k for ppv they will say 150 if that

@ Sal, actually, the average ticket price in Montreal was $65. The card was awful, people were walking out in the middle of the main event.

the AVAILABLE TICKET PRICE AVERAGE, thats the number of tickets available for sale, which is roughly 23k. Its a different figure and is how you really check the ticket average. example if you sell 2 tickets to a show for $1000 in room that holds 23k you average would be $1000 not bad but you fail to add in the 22998 seats that sold for 0. So in this caae I call 23152 the sell out number and they sold 10154, and 12998 were sold at $0. Its the real way to do an average with tickets. So $29 is the AVAILABLE TICKET PRICE AVERAGE. down quite a bit, but don’t worry they did better in Poland hahahaha

Saldaqueef cherry picks stats better than anyone. Any time he sees boxing do a big attendance number, he won’t mention for a second that they typically shit the bed with a horribly low gate/avg ticket price number. But when it comes to the UFC, they could put up a multi-million dollar gate and this retard will be ranting about the avg ticket price.

Sal is just a mutated tranny.

Sal’s the guy who gets caught with the smoking gun and attempts to shift the blame to someone else.

Only a retard would be in denial of his relentless contradictions and incoherent, rambling behavior.

FYI, my friend works at the Bell center, according to him around 6,000 tickets were sold, the rest were given out. He said the people that came in free were impossible to manage. They were loud, obnoxious and drunk, some had to be shown the door in mid event; most left before the card was over.

Thanks JF. I have been telling people that the ufc comps the crap out of their events for years!! No one listens ! Even the so called journalists! The ufc is half a fraud and their numbers are alwyas inflated. Total views with ppv 76k I stand by my 700% down from 124.
