wow, I felt it wouldn’t break 250. I guess It was a good it didn’t hurt it being moved to fs2 last week. Any idea what the replay from last week that went on before the new episode drew in ratings? I would guess a lot of the people who missed last weeks due to the move got caught up. Seeing Unleshed do 350 and This week show doing 384. Last week replay should have done well being in between the two.

Sounds like FS1 or UFC is picking up momentum.

Despite the low ratings, this is still above average for FS1. FS1 was desperate for programming this winter. A year or two from now when FoxSports has more TV rights lined up this would be an issue. But for now FS1 actually is happy with properties that can reliably pull 300-400k

A few years down the road and something like TUF Nations would be bumped to FS2. For now, though, FS1 is desperate for shows that can pull in a reliable niche audience.

    Yup..great for FS1 …blows for the UFC…
Back in the FX and Spike days millions of people watched TUF and that gave the UFC the opportunity to build new stars.
In fact, Spike used to run TUF 3 or 4 times a week..they even re ran the previous seasons to lead up to the new seasons..
Now 300,000 people see the show once and 12,000 see it on FS2…

They can’t build new stars off that base…

Fox sold the UFC a pipe dream! with all the fox hype the ppv numbers are less then when they were on spike.

TUF Nations wasn’t expected to do big #s in America, it has no Americans. It’s only being aired here because FS1 needs programming. The ratings aren’t a sign of anything good or bad really.

The place to look for the success of UFC on FS1 are the Fight Night shows.
UFC happily chose lower ratings for a long term deal with Fox.

Fox Sports is a long term play for Fox. Check in 5 years from now to see if it”s been a success for UFC and Fox.

Got something to say?
