It’s the best season of TUF in years. The production value is higher.
But it’s still TUF. After you’ve seen a couple seasons the fighter stories just aren’t that unique. 20-something angry dudes with lots of tattoos and chips on their shoulders who like to fight. .Guy wants to fight for his family. Or guy had a trouble childhood and would have been in jail, but martial arts turned his life around.
There’s a hardcore audience, but the hardcore have seen all these stories numerous times now. It’s probably impossible to achieve that new freshness it once had. Biggest buzz this season was the Uriah Hall KO kick.
I’m not sure what they can do different. One simple idea is change the location. We’ve seen that same house, that same gym, that same room they fight in … a million times. It just looks boring now.
I’d like to see them move around. Have a season in a new region where a major camp is. Do a season in New Mexico with the Greg Jackson camp. Do a season in South Florida with the Blackzillians.
There are enough camps spread around the country. It would be interesting for the hardcores to see the different camps and different lifestyles. Do a season in SoCal, then North Cali, then New Mexico, then South Florida, then Vegas, then Oregon.
That or just rent out a different place in Vegas.

Thats what i have been saying. Do road trips to other gyms. Choose a couple prospects and follow them in their life as they train and fight a few small shows leading up to a fight in the UFC on the finale. If they followed 3-4 really good fighters it wouldnt take a lot of camera crew and they could let them do their own thing and not be predictable. If they were careful in how they booked their small show fights. They could have a fight for each episode. I would much rather watch an entertaining documentary about 4 very good prospects i can learn about and follow. Rather than a tired game show of so many fighters you cant focus on any of them and there is to many to get the story of any of the fighters.

II still favor doing 2 fights per night, one n the 1st 30 minutes and 1 in the last 30 minutes to keep people watching.
Other proposed changes would be to randomly select a fighter from the winning team and he gets to choose his own opponent (more bad blood fights and keeps it in the fighters own hands) or purely random fights (select balls from a hat) for each fight to keep everyone on their toes.
2nd round fights would be ranked based on quickest finish for who gets to pick their fights so fighters would try less for the Roy Nelson win boring method. It is hard as the concept is played out.

In the early days of the ufC.villains like tank and Tito were the non traditional to the martial artist of that time.but now everybody’s doing the same gimmick so nobody’s interested.this tuf should have stronger ratings because of the coaches but no it didn’t.dana promised the moon up to know UFC is still in the same level of five years ago.
