Koscheck interviewed on ESPN’s Sportscenter

December 9, 2010

Not to be outdone by GSP’s commercials, Josh Koscheck was interviewed by Linda Cohn on ESPN’s Sportscenter.

Payout Perspective:

Its good to see that ESPN is presenting MMA on par with other sports it covers. Koscheck didn’t try to oversell his fight and suppressed any villainous characteristics he may have displayed during TUF. The segment was similar to a boxing interview, including tale of the tape, but Koscheck presented well and was articulate when speaking with Cohn. Honestly, I am surprised that Sportscenter dedicated time to interview Koscheck as he is not a recognizable figure by the casual MMA fan. Another sign that ESPN is legitimizing MMA with its coverage.

He come off pretty good. Needs more practice talking to the media. I is a pet peeve of mine to hear someone say “uhhh” after everyone word. But it is to be expected since this fight MMA and fighters don’t get many chances in front of the camera. If this was the NFL and he was a QB who was going to be in the spotlight for 10+ years it would be a bigger deal. But he needs to work on it a little. Besides that he did very well and come off as much more likable than i thought he would.

I agree B Smash, I do think he’s much better than any boxer ESPN interviews. Those are horrible to watch.

Got something to say?
