UFC on Versus 2 drew 8,132 fans to the San Diego Sports Arena on August 1 for a live gate of $489,685. The card was headlined by rising star Jon Jones and the experienced Vladimir Matyushenko.

    Ah, that’s right, completely slipped my mind. Hmm… those numbers are not great all around. I wonder if this is perceived as a successful event by the UFC.

    I think for Versus, it’s more a work in progress. I think we all know or feel that WEC will merge to some degree with the UFC, so UFC on Versus is probably about paving the way for UFC on Versus on a regular basis.
