Video Gaming Industry analyst Doug Creutz of the Cowen Group released his report for the status of the industry so far this year indicating that 2009 is down 12 percent over the comparable time period for 2008, however, June saw a free fall in software, which was down 29 percent. In general the entire slate of software publishers were marked down with the exception being THQ who got “a slight upgrade in its fiscal year estimates ….thanks entirely to UFC Undisputed 2009’s “stellar” retail performance continuing to defy expectations, enough to offset any negative impact from the economy.” The UFC Undisputed title seemed to be the only life preserver in an ocean of red ink this summer.

KOTC have released ht posters for their first cards since their split with ProElite. An interesting item on the posters is the sponsorship by Bully Beatdown and Mark Burnette Productions. KOTC have continued the relationship that first began between ProElite and Burnette. KOTC fighters are mentioned as being featured on the upcoming season of Bully Beatdown on MTV and this may bode well of other possible collaborations between the two parties.
