Rolling Stone to Make Apparel Debut at UFC® 99 in Cologne, Germany

Team Wolfslair athletes, Cheick Kongo and Paul Kelly, to wear Rolling Stone Collection walk out tees and cross branded thematic Cage Fighter® custom shorts designed to honor the iconic Rock-n-Roll brand.

Columbus, OH June 11, 2009 – MMA Authentics® (MMAA), in conjunction with Team Wolfslair and the Rolling Stone Collection, announced plans for thematic walk out tee and fight short programs for Team Wolfslair and UFC® mixed martial arts athletes, Cheick Kongo and Paul Kelly, to be worn at UFC® 99 in Cologne, Germany this Saturday June 13, 2009. Kongo, a 6’4” 240 pound heavyweight with a professional mixed martial arts record of 24-4-1, is scheduled to face fellow UFC® heavyweight title contender, Cain Valesquez, in the co-main event for UFC® 99 Comeback. Kongo will enter the arena to the music of legendary Rock-n-Roll Hall of Famer, Jimi Hendrix, and his 1967 classic, Purple Haze, wearing a custom made Rolling Stone Collection purple branded tee shirt with gold foil lettering. Kongo will also be outfitted in a MMA Authentics® custom made Cage Fighter® ‘Majesty’ purple short with the iconic Rolling Stone logo emblazed on the front belt region.
Kelly, a 5’9’ brawler from Liverpool, England with a professional record of 9-1, will be making his first appearance in the lightweight division when he faces Rolando Delgado on the undercard of UFC® 99. Kelly will enter the Octagon to the 1968 Rolling Stones classic, Sympathy for The Devil, written by fellow Brits, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. Rolling Stone Magazine placed Sympathy for The Devil at #32 in their list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
