Carolina Fight Promotions Moves To The Big Stage

North Carolina promoter Doug Muhle is taking his MMA promotion to the next level with his upcoming card from the RBC Center in Raleigh on October 11th. Middleweight Prospect Nissen Osterneck and local product Brandon Garner of The Ultimate Fighter Season 8 fame headline the card. Check out Brandon Garner in action below:
This will be the third card put on by the fledgling Carolina Fight Promotions. CFP got off to a strong debut earlier in the year with their card from the Dorton Arena in Raleigh, and they followed up that card with a sell out show In Wilmington, NC earlier this summer.
Muhle is very much a forefather of MMA in North Carolina. North Carolina wasn’t generally regarded as a high-value target by the decision makers with the sports biggest promoter, so a lot of the leg work and cost leading to MMA legalization fell on the shoulders of folks like Muhle. Muhle was instrumental in getting MMA legalized for the state and in his role now as a promoter he seems to be reaping the benefits of the time and great expense that he has invested. In spearheading legalization efforts, Muhle has been able to make contacts with virtually everyone on a local level in the North Carolina market. These connections have been key in moving his promotion to the forefront of promoters putting on cards in North Carolina.
