MMA For NY: Good PR, Bad PR

We mentioned yesterday the party thrown by MMAFacts.com to spread the positive message of MMA for New York. For every good effort like that, though, there seems to be a counter-piece that hampers those moves. On the heels of the MMAFacts party comes this piece from local Fox affiliate Fox 5 detailing the illegal fight clubs popping up in NY:
While regulation will put clubs like this out to pasture so to speak, having pieces like this pop up will only make the job of MMA proponents like MMAFacts that much harder. Much of the ammunition being used against MMA by folks like Assemblyman Bob Reilly center around the types of activity shown in the clip. Having this clip blasted over the local airwaves of NYC will only add fuel to the fire of folks like Reilly that seek to keep MMA out of New York.
